The Non Redundant Non-coding RNA sequences database (NR2) is a repository of more than 2,000,000 non redundant sequences generates from other set of >10.000.000 original ncRNA sequences originally downloaded and screened for duplicates from NRDR indexed database. Users can download non-redundant ncRNA fasta datasets from >200,000 organisms based on ncRNA class and taxonomic classification. For each sequence the fasta header specify the organism, the databases that included it, and the annotated RNA class it belongs.

To the best of our knowledge it is the most comprehensive indexation of ncRNA databases and set of non redundant sequences, which is extremely useful for the prediction and annotation of novel ncRNAs in non model organisms in genomes and transcriptomes projects.
